What Sopho Wore...
Hi everyone!I feel like I haven't done any outfit posts in forever and a day, so while we were out on a little outing to Plymouth Barbican the other day in search of ice cream and other tasty seaside treats, we took a couple of little outfit of the day photos.

(Top- Topshop, Jeans-Topshop, Sandals- New Look, Bag - Mulberry, Necklace-Topshop, Watch- Michael Kors, Bracelet- Tiffany, Annoying Bit of Hair Across Face- Bloggers Own) I feel like i've seen these little cami tops on pretty much everyone recently and while i've really liked them, i've resisted on the basis that I thought it would be one of those things that i'd wear to death then forget all about (i've been having a pretty huge clear out of my wardrobe so i'm a new woman where space saving is concerned...I digress...). However, when I saw this lovely candy pink number in Topshop last week I was smitten, but down to my self placed spending ban, I very sadly had to leave it behind. However, while rummaging through my handbag trying to find my car keys, I came across an unspent Topshop voucher left over from Christmas, it was as if the Topshop Gods had heard my plea and I popped back in to purchase my top. Ideal. It's a really thin fabric so it's perfect for these overcast but muggy summer days we're having. I can see it being really lovely for layering in the colder months as well, it's a pretty versatile shape, I can see it looking nice with a pencil skirt and heels on date night or layered under chunky knits in the winter. I am just IN LOVE with the colour, it's the perfect candy pink, not too bright that it's practically neon and not so pale that it washes you out, it's just lovely and summery and makes me a very happy little camper. The Topshop Leigh jeans in my opinion are one of the best inventions ever, I know there are many who will disagree but since they changed the style of the Jamie jeans i've been a firm convert. I always find that they are the perfect fitting skinny jean and the thinner stretchier fabric avoids the movement issues that sometimes come with a thicker denim skinny. Theres nothing worse than trying to pour yourself into freshly washed skinny jeans and needing a little lie down afterwards... I think the little ankle grazer turn ups are a cute little addition and perfect for the summer. My sandals are about a million years old, from New Look. They've been on more summer holidays than you can shake a stick at, including one pretty full on jungle trek in Borneo and lived to tell the tale, very rare for a sandal in my experience! They still go with most things and I still absolutely love them. Accessory wise, it's the usual suspects... I'm not a fan of change, can you tell?! Mulberry Alexa, Michael Kors watch and a pair of Ray-Ban aviators (actually mine this time, not nabbed from my unsuspecting boyfriend!) although the necklace is a little favourite of mine from Topshop. I'm quite into statement necklaces at the moment and this little spiky number had me at hello. It's brilliant for making outfits like this one look a little more put together but it also makes a buttoned up shirt look a little bit snazzier...it's an all rounder if you will! Also, for those of you that have noticed, please do excuse the irritating strand of hair that appears to have escaped the hairband in these pictures, no matter what the weather, being by the sea means we have an almost constant breeze which makes hair in the face a bit of an issue where photos are concerned, hence why my hair is thrown up in the first place! Hope you're all having a lovely week! |
