What Sopho Wore

If someone were to ask me what my go to outfit of choice would be, no matter the season, the weather or otherwise, it would be a breton stripe top and skinny jeans. Every. Single. Time. It's my old faithful, my failsafe and the one combination that will just always work. I wouldn't even want to hazard a guess at how many striped tops I own...between varying sleeve lengths and stripe colours, we'd be here all day but basically, of stripes, I am a fan.

(Fedora- Topshop, Striped Top- Zara, Jeans- Topshop, Boots- Topshop, Bag-Vintage, Sunglasses- Ray Ban)
On a little day trip the other day I opted for this oversized Zara number. As with most Zara basics, it's cut like an absolute dream, with enough shape that you don't feel like you're wearing a duvet cover but enough room to make it just as comfy. It's super thin, super soft jersey which makes it ideal for those inbetweeny Springy days. It's a classic navy and white and it's most definitely one of my favourite purchases over the last year. I popped it with some light denim Topshop Jamie Jeans (in my opinion, the loveliest of all of the Topshop jean styles) I love the ankle grazer length and the denim is so super soft, I like to go for a lighter denim in the spring and these are so perfect whether you're popping on sandals or boots, they're so versatile.

(Watch- Michael Kors, Necklace (just seen)- Dorothy Perkins)

You're probably all sick of seeing this hat, but I love it. Love love love it in fact and yet again it was the perfect antidote for a slightly crap hair day... pop one of these bad boys on and not a soul will know that you're having a day that not even Batiste and Bumble & Bumble could remedy... seaside cool at it's finest!

(Extra chins- Bloggers own)
As for the rest, it's just my tan chelsea boots from Topshop and my tan saddle shape vintage bag that was bought in a little vintage shop in the Leicester lanes while I was at uni. It's battered, but the leather has aged amazingly and it's nice sometimes to leave the massive tote at home in favour of the bare essentials. Also, I absolutely had to include this last photo... this, my lovelies, is the result of having a boyfriend shouting 'Pose Sopho, pose!' while Toms been roped into taking my outfit photos again...Lesson 1 in 'How Not to Be A Good Blogger'!

What are your failsafe outfit options?
