What Sopho Wore

 Hi everyone!

I'm getting fairly good at Outfits of the Day this year, that's three already and we're only in February! Anyway, this is a little something that I wore for brunch Tom and some friends a couple of weekends ago before the South West turned into Atlantis.

We went to a Weatherspoon's on Plymouth Barbican called the Gog & Magog for brunch. Weatherspoons doesn't always have the best reputation but this particular one is a good'un, tucked in behind the historic buildings of the Barbican between some cute little boutiques and right across the road from my favourite shop in the universe, The Distinguished (if you're ever in the area, check it out, you'll want absolutely everything). As usual me and Tom, the most indecisive people on the planet couldn't decide what we wanted so we got eggs benedict and pancakes and bacon between us and split it which turned out to be the best decision ever!

As it was a bit chilly I opted for a bit of wintery layering. The cable knit cardigan was from Jack Wills a good few years ago and it's super thick, super cosy and still looks really lovely on. The fur gillet has become a bit of a go-to item in my wardrobe of late, it's cosy and warm without being too hot and it just  makes outfits look a bit more thought through, even if it's just thrown over an otherwise simple top. The hat is one that Dan bought me in Covent Garden a couple of summers ago and i've only ever worn it once up until now, but as you know, i'm embracing hats so it made a little appearance. Frankly, if you can't brunch in a hat then life isn't worth living!
