Sophos Most Wanted: Week #7

Hi everyone!
So, once again, heres my most wanted items this week. I think i'm probably being a little ambitious with the sandals and the little dress, but i'm wishing for summer! Also, as me and Dan have been looking at holidays recently (we think we've both agreed on somewhere but i'm not telling until it's officially all booked!) i've very prematurely got a bit of a holiday feeling. All of these items would be ideal for that! As I forgot to do this AGAIN last week i've snuck in a cheeky extra two items to make up for it... as much of a struggle as that was being the shopaholic that I am!
1. This lovely little dress by Love at Topshop is absolutely perfect for Spring and Summer days (i'm practically praying for sunshine at the moment!) it would even look quite cute with tights and loafers while the weather decides what season to be in! It's just a chiffon, navy polka dot affair. I love the neckline, I don't really suit anything with too high a neck so this is absolutely ideal, and having bought Love dresses in the past, I do find that the v-necks on their dresses hit the perfect point on me to avoid any embarrassing overly obvious cleavage issues without being so high that you look like you've escaped the convent! I also have a thing for navy and tan, it's a failsafe option in my eyes, especially when it's tan leather, which leads us to...
2. These lovely tan leather (see what I did there?!) sandals. I do love a sandal and to be perfectly honest, I always seem to go for the same style, tan leather, some kind of cross over thing going on with the straps and a closed in back... i'm not particularly into your foot falling out of the back of the more flip flop style ones! I actually had some pretty similar to this but since massive overuse in Singapore and Borneo coupled with more overuse last summer, they had to go to shoe heaven. These would literally go with my whole summer wardrobe and would be the ideal thing to chuck into hand luggage for any plane based outfit changes when me and Dan go away!
3. By now, you've probably worked out that i'm a sucker for a Models Own polish, they're my absolute favourite and I love how the colours go on! This particular one in Jade Stone I did actually own at one point, i'm pretty sure it came free with something in an airport and I absolutely loved it, but somewhere between then and now it's completely disappeared! It's a really lovely pastel green colour, I wouldn't be inclined to call it mint green, but definitely not a million miles away from that. It's one of their Ice Cream Sundae shades and is just a really lovely pastelly Springtime colour. It's also the closest shade that they currently do to the Apple Pie scented shade that will be coming out with the Fruit Pastel Collection later this months, so until I get my mitts on that one, this one will be perfect to fill the void!
4. Now, I know you're all thinking (as Dan and my Dad will be if they're reading this) 'Sophs, you could not possibly need another handbag!'. Well yes, you're not wrong, but as we all know, needing and wanting are two completely different things and plus, i've got reasoning for this one, so strap yourselves in... I saw this on the lovely Zoella's latest YouTube Haul video. She's going to Florida and bought this snazzy little bag in black for hand luggage. Now, it just looks like yet another tan leather shopper type bag, but, this is where you're wrong. It actually has more compartments than you could shake a stick at, including a padded middle section especially for your laptop and another inside (also padded I believe) to house your iPad along with the usual phone pocket and various zippy ones inside. Now as the technological and organisational geek that I am, the prospect of having special pockets for all of your techy items fills me with absolute glee. As much as I adore my Alexa, the prospect of lugging that around an airport scares me a bit as I don't like to overfill it, it is after all only being held closed by a postman's lock and a couple of poppers so a full on hand luggage load might be a bit much. It's a pricey little bag and i'd feel much happier leaving it at home while i'm sunning it up. This Zara one however, is the absolute perfect size for all the little bits you'd need to take on a plane, i.e iPad, change of outfit, mini make up bag etc. combine that with the snazzy compartments and the fact it's a very reasonable price and voila, perfect hand luggage bag. If that hasn't convinced you, I don't know what will!
5. I love a MAC lipstick. They have really good lasting power and the colour is always amazing. Now, I know this one isn't particularly daring, but I must admit, aside from my Russian Red, I think I look utterly ridiculous with any shade that wanders too far from very pale pinks or nudes. So, surprise surprise, this little lovely, in Please Me is described as a muted-rosy pink shade... nothing drastic, but I do love a rosy type shade, so this may have to be next on my list for the Spring!
6. Finally, I don't know about anyone else, but stress plays absolute havoc with my skin. After a week of stressing over uni work and assignments, my skin is in a bit of a state, despite staying absolutely religious to my Benefit skin regime. So, after seeing this (rather adorably named) Boo Boo Zap, i'm thinking I might have to add to the collection. I've loved the rest of the products from this range so far, they have not failed me (apart from in stressy moments, but hey, not even a miracle could sort that out!) so i'm thinking I might have to give this a go, the reviews i've read seem to promise miraculous results... while miraculous probably isn't entirely true, I wouldn't mind giving it a go myself, anything is worth a try at the moment! If anyones tried this one, let me know in the comments, i'd be interested to know what you thought of it!
So, theres my slightly larger list of wants this week! Lets all do a little sunshine dance in hopes of warmer weather so that I can actually justify purchasing some of these!
*also, I am aware that the lipstick doesn't look like the shade I was talking about, for some reason photoshop has darkened some of the colours on the images so apologies for that!*
I really love that dress, it's so lovely. I swear I buy to many things with dots on them, I can't get enough.

DeleteI love that nail colour!! I had a similar one by Revlon that I wore pretty much all last summer, it's so pretty. Reminds me of the Tiffany colour!

It's so Springy it's lovely! Oh my gosh it does look quite Tiffany-esque! Perfect! xx
DeleteThe bag is gorgeous! And I think with those sandals and bag it would be a lovely outfit :) if you do end up trying Boo Boo Zap definitely do a review on it - I scrolled down in hopes you had as my skin is the same at the moment from stressing over assignments and appointments! I have been using the Witch Blemish Gel though which is pretty good! My boyfriend actually had about 3 tiny spots start up on his chin the other day, I poked and prodded him and he ended up using my Simple face wash then a smothering of the Witch Blemish gel, and lo and behold, his spots were gone the next morning! Definitely worth a go :) xx
ReplyDeleteLove this bag, keep having to stop myself buying it! It looks fab though... those sandals will no doubt find themselves in my wardrobe in the very near future! As for the Boo Boo Zap i'll definitely be giving it a go and i'll do a review! Might give the Witch Blemish Gel a go as well just for good measure! Thanks for the tip! xx
