Saturday ramblings...

Hi everyone! Sorry i've not posted at all this week, i've been crazily busy with uni work...it's mayhem, but hey, welcome to third year! So me and two of my lovely flatmates, in an attempt to regain some sanity from a week of very hard work, decided to have a bit of a wander around town, do a teeny bit of shopping and grab a bit of lunch in the new Eds Easy Diner that's opened in the shopping centre...we've been craving proper milkshakes for weeks and plus, having hotdogs and milkshakes was on our end of uni bucket list thats stuck up in the kitchen so it seemed silly not to really! All I can say is...BEST MILKSHAKES EVER! Between us we had three different flavours, strawberry, butterscotch and chocolate, they come in big metal cups that according to the menu have about 2 glasses worth of milkshake in each, but after trying a glass each of each others flavours along with our own we still had loads left. I went for the chilli cheese fries...massively unhealthy being chips, chilli AND masses of cheese, but hey, i'll work doubly hard in pilates tomorrow! Melissa went for the classic hotdog which although i'm really not a fan of hotdogs did look really nice, especially with French's mustard (my absolute favourite!) and ketchup and Alice had the classic hamburger. It was all really tasty although we're all in milkshake comas now! The restaurant is also really cool, exactly as you'd expect, typical 50's style American diner, red, chrome and booth seating so it kind of feels like you're in Grease, it was a fun little lunch trip and somewhere else to add to our ever growing list of brilliant places to go in Leicester!

I also popped into Benefit to pick up some more Foamingly Clean cleanser and may or may not have (definitely did...but shhh...) picked up the eye cream I featured on my Most Wanted a few weeks ago... i'm on a skincare mission, what can I say?! I've got a little post on the way all about them. I also picked up the much coveted No.7 Beautiful Skin Brush... i'm ridiculously excited to try it out so, as requested i'll be doing a review of that one very soon!

As for the rest of the weekend, tonight the plan is to watch some girly films that we picked up in HMV earlier (the prices in there at the moment are insanely cheap...I guess one good thing comes from being in administration!) and attempting to recover from our excessive milkshake consumption! Tomorrow being Mothers Day won't be the easiest for me. I actually find Mothers Day harder than her birthday or anniversary as unlike those days,  you're bombarded with adverts, card shop displays and billboards screaming reminders at you from about February onwards, so it won't be the easiest day of my year, but hey, i'm lucky to have had such an incredible and inspiring mummy for the time that I had her and I have incredible friends and family to distract me from being sad now, so it's not all doom and gloom! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend whatever you're doing and I hope you all have a good time treating your lovely mummies tomorrow!
