Benefit skin review...

I don't tend to do product reviews but i've fallen so in love with this range that I just had to... Sorry for the Benefit heavy posts, it just so happens that it's their products that i'm loving at the moment. Any of you that follow me on Twitter or Facebook will know that i've been chosen as my Aunties bridesmaid for her wedding in August. With the stress of third year playing havoc with my skin I decided to get serious about my regime again so that I can make sure i'm looking all glowy by August.

Up until now i've been using the Burts Bee's 'Anti-Blemish' range, which for a while I absolutely swore by, while it did leave my skin feeling clean I was never overly taken with the scent of the products, they did smell a tad on the medicated side. It was my boyfriend that confirmed this dislike when he asked as I was getting into bed over christmas whether i'd just washed my face with TCP because thats what it smelled like! It was definitely time for a change!

After having a little browse online at a few ranges, I saw the Benefit one on a few blogs and decided to go in and have a little look. I was immediately attracted to the packaging (I know you shouldn't purchase based on just the bottles, but you have to admit, they are gorgeous...) in beautiful vintage, apothecary style jars and bottles, with cork effect lids, all I could think was how lovely they'd look on my dressing table at home! With that and the promise of a 'skincare solution so luminous you'll need a dimmer switch' I was smitten. Unlike the Burts Bee's range, the products smell fresh, and for want of a better phrase just smell clean! I opted for the 'Foamingly Clean Facial Wash', 'Refined Finish Facial Polish' and the 'Triple Performing Facial Emulsion', leaving out my usual toner on the advice of the very helpful girl on the counter. Apparently, with younger skin, toner isn't a necessity, she gave me a little tester pot to try, just in case and it's as lovely as the rest of the range.
Refined Finish Facial Polish - Benefit
Foamingly Clean Facial Wash - Benefit

I've only been using them for about a week but I really am starting to see a difference. The foaming facial wash i've been using twice a day, it foams super easily and (quite literally!) leaves your skin squeaky clean, as for removing make up, I couldn't tell you as I always take mine off before this step, but i'd imagine it would be quite effective. The polish i've used three times this week, unlike some exfoliants i've used, the grains in this aren't huge meaning that it doesn't feel too abrasive on your skin, some can leave your skin feeling a bit like you've used sandpaper! This one is just scrubby enough, so it leaves your skin feeling extra clean but without the irritation of a harsh exfoliant. The moisturiser is a really light formulation so it doesn't leave any kind of residue, sinking straight in and leaving your face feeling beautifully moisturised, I can have fairly oily skin at times but this is absolutely perfect.

I know i'm raving massively about this range, but it really is brilliant and i'm more than impressed so far, I really would recommend it! Let me know what you think if you've tried it yourselves!
