Animal antics...

Hi lovelies!
Thought i'd just fill you in with some exciting things i've been up to while on my little blog hiatus! Last weekend was spent with the lovely boyfriend in Staffordshire for his villages annual bank holiday Well Dressing Festival, i'll do a proper post about the festival itself during the week. Anywho, on the Sunday, to escape the madness of the festival (it's a teeny village and so much goes on over the three days it's a bit tricky to escape the crowds at times) we decided to take a little trip to Chester Zoo. It was absolutely beautiful weather so it was nice to spend the day outside, wandering around with some snazzy creatures. Now, ordinarily, although I seem to have been to a various zoo's in the country, i'm not a huge fan. I find that I leave a lot of them feeling a bit upset, not liking the fact that a lot of the animals just look bored, sad and generally a little bit crammed in. After going to the most incredible zoo when I was in Singapore where a lot of the non dangerous animals were free to roam the park, i've got a bit of a warped idea of what I think makes a good zoo... Chester however gives me hope that they're not all filled with sad animals and tiny enclosures! If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit. Anyway, sorry for the photo heavy post but I thought i'd share a few of my favourite critters. Theres more than one Orang-utan photo, but i'm afraid i'm a bit biased after seeing them in Borneo, they really are incredible... also check out the last photo, possibly my favourite picture i've ever taken of the Cheetah that looks like it's mid laugh... it was actually mid yawn I think but it does make me chuckle every time I look at it!
