Products of the Blogosphere Pt.2...

Hi lovelies,

So here, as promised is part 2 of my two part Products of the Blogosphere feature and a few more of my humble opinions on the 'It' products of Blogland...

Bumble and Bumble - Surf Spray
This is my number one wonder product and my favourite purchase of the year so far. Bumble and Bumble is a brand that i've been curious about for years, but due to living in deepest darkest Devon it was impossible to find anywhere in our city centre and so i've never got around to actually trying it until recently! I love messy, beachy wavy hair, I find that it compliments the natural wave in my hair and just generally looks much better than super neat styles on me. This product for me is the holy grail of salt sprays, i've used a few in the past and been unimpressed as they just haven't delivered. This one on the other hand does exactly what it says it will. I use it scrunched through damp hair before diffusing to bring out the wave more and then again once my hair is dried just for a bit of extra texture. I love love love it and it doesn't leave your hair feeling laden with product.

MAC - Brush Cleanser
This one I must admit, I do sit on the fence with. It's good in some ways, mostly for the fact that it contains an antibacterial ingredient which means that brushes are left super clean and bacteria free. For germaphobes such as myself this is an absolute dream. However, I do find that it doesn't quite seem to get rid of all of the product left on my brushes and I do tend to use it after i've properly cleaned my brushes with something like a little bit of washing up liquid or some baby shampoo. I find that although it does seem to make my brushes last longer and feel cleaner, it's not so great at removing excess product left on the bristles and something like a washing up liquid that is essentially used for removing grease is fab at getting rid of absolutely everything in my brushes. This is a worthwhile purchase if you just want that extra piece of mind germ wise, but on it's own it doesn't always cut it.

Real Techniques Brushes
These have quite literally popped up on nearly every blog i've read of late and it was only after my flatmate Melissa (of Lissy Lovebook) used and liked them that I was persuaded to give them a go myself. I started off with the core collection and the expert face brush (this was the one that everyone raves about) and I haven't looked back. I've expanded my collection to the eyes and a couple of single ones like a blush brush and a stippling one and I love them just as much after a couple of months of use as I did on day one. They're brilliant quality brushes at a really reasonable price and the fact that they come in the kits (complete with handy travel cases) is just brilliant, especially for someone that spends most of her time driving up and down the M5! I also like the fact that they're good for people just starting out as well as a seasoned make up user, they're all individually labeled, pretty foolproof and such amazing quality. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone, especially the expert face brush for buffing in foundation as i've not found any other brush that creates such a flawless finish!

Tangle Teaser
This is an item that I have had for probably about 4 years and it's one that I absolutely without a doubt could not imagine not owning. As an ex extension wearer, this saved my extensions from the snagging of other hairbrushes on many occasions. For my own horrifically easily tangling locks, it's just amazing, leaving my hair soft, smooth and tangle free without the pain and hassle of brushing out the knottiness. For kids this would be fab as well. It's pricey for a hairbrush at £10, it does appear to be just a bit of plastic but it's probably the most useful £10 i've ever spent to be completely honest!

So theres my two cents about the big 'blogger' products of the past year, let me know if you've done something similar, i'd love to read/ watch them so leave any links below in the comments!
