1. This pretty little dress is one of those things that I absolutely love but probably wouldn't buy as it's quite a cute, super girly piece. Being 5"10, it's a struggle to look cute in anything at all so i've looked at this dress a couple of times on the website and dismissed it but I saw it in the actual shop the other day, and it's gorgeous. I've got a christening to attend in March with my boyfriend and his family and I think this could be the perfect dress for it. Being part of River Islands Chelsea Girl range it's vintage inspired. It's a beautiful springtime colour (it's described on the website as a grey but in person i'd actually say it's more of a super pale lilac) and made of pleated chiffon and lace, which is a winning combination in my eyes. It's really pretty and demure enough to wear to a family function, i'm thinking maybe with some nude mid sized heels. I love it!
2 & 3. Anyone that knows me half well will know that I have one of the biggest pyjama collections ever (my boyfriend will advocate this!) I absolutely love them... if I could live in pyjamas I probably would! This pretty vintage floral patterned light cotton set is just gorgeous, i've walked past it a few times in the shop and stopped myself from buying on the basis that I have enough pyjamas to clothe an entire continent...but just look how pretty these are, with the ditsy pansy pattern and scalloped lace they're an absolute must-have! I have an image in my head of breezing around in these on a warm summer morning (admittedly in this vision i'm also some Great Gatsby style female of model proportions but hey, if you can't dream, what can you do?!) Frankly, I just need them in my life!
4. Now, up until now i've completely bypassed the Disco Pants trend (i'll pause here for you all to recover yourselves...) but honestly, I thought I would look utterly ridiculous. Other people look fabulous in them, but I just had visions of myself looking like a total 1970's fashion tragedy in them, however, after seeing a few people in the non shiny American Apparel riding pants (which are essentially the same just made from a non shimmery legging type fabric) I was quite tempted, not so by their £64 price tag however! When I saw these Topshop versions, I was sold... you can't really argue with nearly a £50 price difference can you?! I know they aren't the exact dupes of the AA ones as they don't have the stitched panelling around the knees but they're still fab. After trying these babies on, I can see completely what you've all been on about, they're a marvel...I think someones going to have to wrestle me out of them in all honesty and although I thought i'd never ever ever say it (and my flatmates will go mad if they read this!) but I would be quite open to trying the shiny ones on... but we'll wait and see on that one...
I hope you've all had a lovely week, is there anything you've had your eyes on this week?
