Sorry for the lack of blog posts recently! Between travelling back to Devon, catching up with various people and the daily chore of my dreaded dissertation i've sort of let my blog fall a bit by the wayside, but fear not, my camera as usual has gone absolutely everywhere with me and I have plenty of things to post, I just haven't got around to it yet, please stay tuned as theres my first Vlog to come (editing is proving a pretty lengthy task!) and various other Easter/Devon themed posts!
Heres what I wore when we spent the day at Rosie's (my dads partner) eating lots of tasty Easter treats (she's a baking goddess!) and trying to find various chocolate based goodies that she'd hidden around the house! It was actually surprisingly warm so although i'd taken my trusty leather jacket and faux fur stole with me, I ended up leaving it in the car! This dress is exactly the same as a grey one i've worn before in an outfit post, just a simple jersey t-shirt dress from Topshop, this time however it's in a kind of forest green colour. It's got a really cute speckled effect to the fabric, which in the true Easter spirit of things kind of reminded me of Cadburys Mini Eggs! The moccasins I picked up last summer at Forever21 on a shopping trip to Westfield Stratford. They go with absolutely everything, and they have really cute little wooden beads, if I remember correctly they were only about £15 or something silly, much cheaper than any others that i'd seen. While I don't go to Forever21 very often (only when in London or Birmingham) when I do I always feel massively overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff they manage to pack into their stores, although having said that there is always a bargain to be had, brilliant for on the pulse, fast, cheap fashion, so it's definitely worth a look if you're nearby. The scarf is just a silky fairly nautical print one from New Look, I loved how vintage it looked, it doesn't look like New Look whatsoever and spending most of my time by the sea, a bit of nautical flair is never a bad thing! As for the sunglasses, I do have a pair really similar but with silver frames. I got Dan these ones when I went to Singapore a couple of years ago, and having left mine in the car (which resulted in an awful lot of photos of me squinting as the sun miraculously made an appearance!) I borrowed his...what a babe! The bracelets are from pretty much everywhere. Theres a tiny silver chain with an open silver heart on it that I bought from Tiffany with my 18th birthday money, a couple of Malaria No More beaded bracelets from Jack Wills that i've picked up over time and a pink silk chord bracelet from a lovely company called Chambers and Beau. I've bought things from this company a few times after seeing them on Not On The High Street, this particular bracelet I bought for me and one of my best friends, Gammon, as friendship bracelets at Christmas. Theres a little tiny silver heart on them which has an 'L' on one side (for Lauren) and an 'S' on the other for my name. I think they're really cute especially as these days with us both living in different parts of the country for most of the year, we hardly see each other so it's nice to have the bracelets as a little reminder. Have a look at their website though, they do something for everyone and they make really lovely personalised gifts!
I hope you're all having a lovely Easter!

i totally agree about forever 21, i went to the one in the bull ring and walked out empty handed as i just didn't know where to start! xxx
